A fiber media converter is an Ethernet transmission media conversion unit that exchanges short-distance twisted pair electrical signals and long-distance optical signals.
In the actual network environment where the Ethernet cable cannot be covered and optical fiber must be used to extend the transmission distance, and the media converter is usually located in the access layer of broadband man.
The application fiber media convertor must strictly comply with 10Base-T, 100base TX, 100base FX and IEEE802 3 and IEEE802 3U, and other Ethernet standards. In addition, EMC anti electromagnetic radiation shall comply with FCC Part 15.
